Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to find our space. We are located in a building that looks very much like a home. Wear comfortable clothing — please see our other FAQ’s for more details on how to dress depending on your reason for visiting.
Once you arrive, please remove your shoes, and find a seat in our lounge area. Your practitioner will greet you in the downstairs space and allow you time to complete our quick intake forms. From there, they will guide you to your treatment room or session space and guide you through the rest of your time. Checkout will be completed by your practitioner after your appointment, and gratuity can be added at this time if desired.
If you have any specific questions or information for your practitioner before your visit, please email hello@neuma.space.

Here at Neuma, we believe that the best solutions to your problems are the ones that are simple, supported, and sustainable. Our ecosystem of skilled practitioners allows for your wellness habits to be supported in a way that fits your unique needs. We believe that our bodies are better built brick-by-brick creating a firm foundation for growth, rather than thrown up with one-size-fits-all materials that will soon need a complete overhaul. While each modality on its own is wonderful, our blending of holistic movement, education, and bodywork together in one space creates a variety of options to engage in your health, all in one spot.

Fever, undiagnosed acute injuries, sunburn, intoxication, or any known contagious illnesses are a good reason to stay home. It’s important to tell your massage therapist about any health conditions you might have, as they may be able to modify the massage to better serve you. These include pregnancy, kidney or liver conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, blood clots, cancer, neurological conditions, allergies, previous surgeries, or anything else that may be pertinent to your health.
-
If it is more than 24 hours before your appointment time, you can use the link on your appointment confirmation email to cancel or reschedule your appointment with no fee. If it is within 24 hours of your appointment time, you may be subject to a late cancellation or no-show fee.
Please contact us via phone, text, or email to cancel if you need to make an appointment change after the cancellation period.
-
Please drive safely to our location, and if you are able please call and leave our courtesy phone a voicemail stating your name and appointment time so we can give our practitioners notice. They will hold your session time for 15 minutes before canceling the appointment. Please note that all appointments will end at the scheduled time to respect our practitioners and other clients’ time.
Please view our full cancellation policy here.

We do not offer couple's massage. We are happy to book concurrent appointments in separate treatment rooms if there is availability. The best way to view our most current availability and book your appointments is on our booking page here.

Generally, massage is received completely unclothed. Certain hip or back concerns may involve work on the glutes, but the decision on whether to keep underwear or any other clothing on is always personal, and the therapist can always work over whatever garments of clothing you choose to leave on.
If you are here for a movement class or personal session, wear comfortable clothing that allows for free range of motion. Note that some of our studio classes are heated.
Movement Therapy
-
Our teachers teach various forms of yoga, Pilates, and the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methodologies. Yoga is offered in small group class formats. Pilates and the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methodologies are offered in private or duet sessions.
-
Gyrotonic® is an original and unique method of whole-body movement that flows in circular and spiraling patterns to promote strength, balance, flexibility, and efficiency of movement with the support of specialized equipment. Gyrokinesis®, its sister modality, promotes the same outcomes, using the practitioner’s body, instead of specialized equipment. These methodologies:
Open energy pathways
Stimulate the nervous system
Increase range of motion
Improve strength and movement efficiency
-
Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates is:
Low-impact
Promotes core strength and stability
Increases muscle control and endurance
Emphasizes proper posture and movement patterns

Many of our clients participate in one or more of our modalities. All group classes and private sessions are customized to your current ability. We highly recommend setting up a private session in a new modality to see how you and your body feel with the new exercises. We're also happy to suggest modalities you might find most fitting to your interests and needs, just give us a call or drop us a line here.
